The fine cut saw, also known as a scroll saw, is the electric version of a scroll saw and is used for fine filigree cutting of workpieces. With its versatility and accuracy, it is ideal for a variety of sawing tasks. The fine-cutting saw is particularly suitable for working on soft and hard woods, but also for parting cuts on metals such as copper, aluminum and brass alloys, as well as various plastics. In this category, you can learn more about the advantages and possible applications of Hegner fine-blanking saws and find the right solution for your projects. Our range includes entry-level models as well as powerful industrial machines. If you are unsure, we will be happy to help you choose the right machine and advise you by phone.
Hegner fine-blade saw in the woodturning shop
Fineblade saw for beginners
The Multicut-1 is the entry-level model for beginners and demanding hobbyists. Thanks to its simple operation and solid 100 watt motor, it enables precise and powerful cuts. As part of the high-quality Hegner saws, the Multicut-1 also impresses with its stable construction. It is suitable for both rough shaping and fine internal cuts. Changing the saw blade is uncomplicated and quick. The machine can be selected with or without electronic speed control.
Hegner Multicut-2S fine-blanking saw
The Hegner Multicut-2S is the extended model of the Multicut series with additional functions and improved features. The design of the saw is similar to the Multicut-1, but offers some significant improvements. The saw table is larger, providing a larger support surface and better guidance characteristics. The clearance height has been increased by 15 cm, allowing the processing of larger woods. In addition to the 45° tilt, the table can also be tilted at a 12° angle for added sawing flexibility. These improvements make the entire machine weigh 3 kg more.
The Multicut-SE scroll saw
The Hegner Multicut-SE is a powerful sawing machine that is similar in many aspects to the Multicut-2S. The main difference is the table top, which on the Multicut-SE is made of sturdy cast iron. This provides better stability and effective vibration damping during the sawing process. In addition, the machine features electronic speed control, which can be controlled either by a potentiometer on the machine or by a foot pedal. The choice between the two options allows the customer to customize the machine to his needs and working style. For example, when hands must be free to guide the wood, the foot pedal is advantageous.
For demanding projects - the Multicut-Quick
The Hegner Multicut-Quick fine-cutting saw offers the same features as the Multicut-2S. With a larger throat ( the largest of all Multicut models), it allows wider workpieces to be processed. The additional space gained provides more clearance during machining. With a weight of 30 kg, it is another 7 kg heavier than the Multicut-2S, resulting in improved stability. The Hegner Multicut-Quick is ideal for advanced hobbyists who want to machine larger projects.
For industry and crafts - the Multicut Polycut-3
The Hegner Polycut-3 is a high-performance universal fine-cutting saw, designed for industry and crafts. With a 30% higher cutting speed, it offers efficient work performance. The four-speed V-belt drive allows for speeds of 700, 1100, 1270 and 1600 rpm. With its 180-watt motor, it is the most powerful of Hegner's Multicut saws. The Polycut-3 can process materials up to 500 mm wide and weighs 37 kg, making it the heaviest saw in this series.
