Munro Tool Mega2

There is now an extensive selection of tools on the market for hollow turning shapes and back turning of edges. We cannot recommend every one of these developments with a clear conscience. After extensive tests of various systems, the tools of the New Zealand wood turner Rolly Munro with limited chip thickness have proven to be very suitable.
 
The cutting edge can be mounted directly on the support rod or with one or two joint parts. This construction allows a very wide range of settings for a wide variety of turning forms. No additional cranked support rods are required, as is the case with comparable tools.
 
Due to the well thought-out shape of the cutter holder, there is no clogging or “chipping” of the cutter head when used correctly. The tool is equipped with a round cutting wheel. Sharpening this cutting edge is child's play with the retaining pin included in the scope of delivery.

 

The new multi-joint and the new cutter holder allow even better adjustment options. For example, you can work on the back inside of the workpiece even when the machine is running counterclockwise. The vibration-absorbing handle, which is padded with firm foam rubber, provides a good grip, even with a large overhang of tools. The tool is optionally available without a handle.
