Naturit Urushi Oil is developed from the optimized Urushi formulation and is an "all-rounder" for interior use. The balanced properties in terms of color strength, drying time, resistance, hardness and ease of application make it a popular product. Urushi oil makes woods extremely hard and resistant to water, coffee, beer, cola, red wine etc. and other dirt.
The wood character is discreetly revived by the natural kindling.
Naturit Urushi Oil is suitable for priming and treating all solid woods and veneers in the interior. It contains only natural ingredients, such as: Urushi, wood oil, ricin oil, linseed oil, sunflower oil, natural resin, isoparaffins and no waxes, no pigments, is free of formaldehyde, aromatics, biocides, fungicides, preservatives, drying agents as well as oximes.
It has been tested for chemical resistance for interior use according to DIN 68861 (e.g. water, coffee, beer, cola, red wine) and is tested for migration behavior according to DIN EN 71, part 3.
Instructions for use:
- Shake bottle well before opening! There are no pigments and wax in Urushi oil, but the natural "drier" - enzyme - may slowly settle over time.
- Wear gloves! Our Urushi oil is very safe compared to Urushi raw juice, but protective measures are important. If Urushi oil does end up on your skin, please wipe it off with oil (rapeseed oil will do) and then rinse with soap and water.
- The Urushi oil on/in wood will darken within minutes. However, this transitional shade will lighten after 1-2 weeks of curing time, especially under sunlight.
- Watch temperature and humidity. The "dryer" - enzyme - needs heat and humidity, just the opposite of normal oils.
