steinert® Drechsler Hard Wax (Refined Carnauba Wax)

It is easy to apply and - unlike pure carnauba wax - does not leave any grey stains in pores. To achieve a closed surface, it is advisable to work with a quick sanding primer. Shellac primers are particularly suitable for this.

 

Natural hard wax in the form of bars is particularly popular with woodturners because it is used directly on the lathe without leaving any traces of spray on the machine. A high-quality, slightly shiny surface is quickly created on the finished, sanded wooden object.
This product is - like the steinert® wood oils - a purely natural product.

 

The application is very simple:
After completion and fine-tuning of the workpiece, it can be applied with the wax bar by applying light pressure directly on the rotating workpiece. The material melts somewhat and sticks. Even application thickness results in a homogeneous look. Too much wax can be easily removed with steel wool or paper towels. Finally let the workpiece "run" again and polish it with a woolen cloth.

 

In addition to the main component carnauba wax, steinert® Drechsler hard wax contains beeswax, corn oil, rosemary oil, mineral pigments and other ingredients to optimize the properties of the wax.
