Gloss Finishing Wax 130 g

This Hampshire Sheen Gloss Finishing Wax is a carefully formulated combination of carnauba and microcrystalline waxes suspended in a low odour solvent to help you build up a super hard, glossy finish for woodturning that is also food and toy safe once cured. It has a stiff texture and can sometimes (especially in cold weather) appear 'crumbly' in the tin. This is completely normal and is due to the very high wax to solvent ratio. When used correctly, you will need less product than you might think to achieve a fantastic finish. To do this, sand your workpiece with at least 400 grit. For best results, it is recommended to apply sanding sealer afterwards and polish when dry. Now apply a thin layer of wax evenly with a soft cloth. After the wax has dried, you can polish. (Drying times vary depending on ambient temperature and humidity). Apply more coats if you want to create a stronger shine.
Store in a cool, dry place away from frost and direct sunlight: this way you can expect the product to last until about 2 years after opening (depending on how often it is used).
