12 warm shades in the 125ml bottle.
Intrinsic: inward, inwardly, turned inwardly, coming from within.
In connection with the Intrinsic stains, the term stands for warm, earthy and soothing shades.
Hampshire Sheen Intrinsic dye stain is water-thinnable, non-flammable and longer lasting in the container because of less evaporation than alcohol or spirit stains. The colors penetrate deeply into sanded wood and have a sufficiently long open time for mixing by hand or for airbrushing. The natural appearance of the wood is preserved. The colors can be mixed in advance to other shades or color gradients can be created directly on the workpiece. With multiple applications or a dark to black primer, even more color depth and further color effects can be created. This wood stain was developed by the British wood turner Martin Saban-Smith.
