Chestnut Food Safe Finish 500ml

Chestnut Food Safe Finish is a clear, food safe mineral oil. It is a thin-bodied oil that absorbs well into bare wood and protects it from water splashes, etc., without discoloring it or affecting the food in any way.
Chestnut Food Safe Finish dries to a matte finish and is ideal for wet sanding. When used with a very fine abrasive, an exceptionally smooth finish with a soft sheen can be achieved.
Apply the oil directly to bare wood with a clean cloth or brush, with up to three coats recommended. If the oil on the surface does not absorb further into the wood, it means the wood is "saturated" and no further coats are needed. Excess oil can be removed with a clean cloth if necessary.
Depending on how the item is used, it may be necessary to refresh the coating from time to time, especially if it is washed regularly.
