Brewers pitch, transparent, 500g

High-quality, transparent brewers pitch for sealing wooden vessels.

Brewers pitch is actually used to seal wooden beer barrels.

• Suitable for sealing drinking vessels or flower vases.
• Produced in a 200-year-old pitch boiling plant in Vogtland/Saxony.
• High-quality barrel pitch made from natural raw materials (tree resin).

The barrel pitch has a melting temperature of approx. 60-70°C. Prolonged contact with higher temperatures will cause the pitch to soften before this point. Barrel pitch is therefore not recommended for warm and hot drinks.
The boiling point of barrel pitch is approx. 180-190°C. The pitch burns at the same time as it begins to boil. Accordingly, the processing temperature should not exceed 180°C.
