Single-lip drill

Single-lip drills, also known as gun drills, originate from the metalworking industry.

These are deep-hole drills with a carbide drill head and compressed air connection through which the drill chips are continuously blown out of the drill hole. Deep-hole drills are used by wood turners, for example, in the manufacture of musical instruments, for drilling lamp pillars and the like at .
Air drills can be used on woodturning lathes with manual feed or in special deep-hole drilling machines.
These drilling tools can be used for very precise work, but they require a centric guide in the form of a drill steady rest for the attachment to the workpiece.

We can supply these single-lip drills with a soldered drill head in diameters from 1.9 mm to 55 mm in increments of one tenth. Lengths up to 3000 mm are possible, on request up to 6000 mm.
