If a particularly natural and haptically pleasant surface is required for turned objects, it is advisable to work with carefully selected and coordinated vegetable raw materials. steinert® DRECHSLERWACHS, the main components of which are safflower oil, linseed oil, natural resin esters, beeswax, micronised wax and carnauba wax, is particularly suitable for providing high-quality wooden items with adequate protection. The wax-oil is easy to create layers and protects the wood from external influences or dirt. It is solvent-free, cobalt-free and therefore completely harmless to allergy sufferers both during processing and when the wooden items are used later. A complete list of the ingredients is given in the full declaration. steinert® DRECHSLERWACHS is saliva and sweat-proof according to DIN 53 160. Also suitable for toys according to DIN EN 71 Part 3. The wax-oil has an antistatic effect and thus protects against the appearance of soiling.
Handling is very uncomplicated (single-layer application). With trial coats and thoughtful “experimenting”, however, other effects such as a stronger “wax feel”, even greater resistance to external influences or differentiated levels between glossy and matt optics can be achieved.
steinert® DRECHSLERWACHS is made in Germany. Like the steinert® DRECHSLERÖL, we developed it in cooperation with LIVOS Pflanzenchemie Forschungs- und Entwicklungs-GmbH Co.KG and is therefore a product of many years of well-founded experience with surfaces made from natural raw materials.
The variant steinert® DRECHSLERWACHS white has been specially developed for light woods such as maple, ash, linden and the like. By adding a small amount of white pigments, the naturally light colour of these woods is retained. In addition, UV protection is achieved that minimises later darkening or greying of the wood.
