Killinger KM1450SE wood lathe

This hobby woodturning machine offers all the technical features you would expect from a woodturning lathe. The Killinger brand stands for quality and reliability over many years.

Features of the wood lathe

A woodturning lathe made entirely of cast iron for low-vibration operation, even for larger woodturning jobs. The 1.5 KW three-phase motor is infinitely variable via 3 pulleys. The turning of small objects, such as pins or finger rings, is possible as well as the turning of shells. The headstock can be rotated and moved and has an integrated 36-step dividing device. The hollow spindle is equipped with M33 thread and MK2 Morse taper mount, so all common chucks can be used. Speed control, starting and stopping the machine, and changing the direction of rotation are performed via a magnetic, mobile control box.

Special features on Killinger woodturning machines

The zero stop:
A stainless steel slide located between the flanks of the bed. Properly adjusted, it ensures constant tip alignment between the tips of the spindle and quill. The stop guarantees exact alignment after turning the headstock. Different operations can be performed without readjustment by means of a double cone.

Quillguide ring:
A special guide ring is also attached to the tailstock, which prevents the quill from falling out when the tailstock is fully extended. It also ensures stable guiding even during the last thread run.  

PVC ball handles:
The handles are covered with specially molded rubber grips. These grips allow for better handling during clamping. The handles feel less "cold" to the touch.
