Surface materials are needed to preserve the natural beauty of wood for as long as possible and to protect the wood during use. Vegetable oils and waxes are particularly suitable for this purpose.

However, as the materials currently available on the market often have shortcomings, Steinert set about creating an aesthetically pleasing, mechanically resistant natural product that is manufactured in Germany and meets all ecological and physiological criteria. With the support of LIVOS Forschungs- und Entwicklungs- GmbH & Co KG, a product is now available that meets these ambitious criteria and therefore surpasses all previous products of this type.

"steinert Premium Wood Oil for Interiors" is a product based on vegetable oil (predominantly linseed oil). As it is formulated with resins and other natural additives, this oil achieves good penetration depth in the wood, high mechanical resistance and moisture resistance.

Due to the exceptionally low proportion of solvents (isoaliphates), "steinert Premium Wood Oil for Interiors" is very economical. For the first application, 1.0 liter is sufficient for approx. 20 sqm. Understandably, consumption depends heavily on the substrate, absorbency and surface quality of the wood.

"steinert Premium Wood Oil for Indoors" is saliva and perspiration resistant in accordance with DIN 53160 (colloquially "food safe") and is suitable for children's toys in accordance with DIN EN 71, Part 3. Due to its high mechanical resistance, it can also be used for floors, window sills, furniture, doors and the like. The treated surface is transparent, semi-gloss, water-resistant in accordance with DIN 68861 Part 1, open-pored, a surface film forms after 2-3 coats.
