Round brush for structuring wood surfaces.
Particularly in the case of wood species with large density fluctuations between early and late wood, a fascinating structural effect is obtained by brushing out the soft parts of the annual rings. Hardwoods such as ash and elm or softwoods such as spruce and larch are very suitable for this.
This round brush is a special production with extremely robust and durable abrasive fibers. Different fiber lengths in the range +/-3 mm in diameter enable a very effective structuring effect. The brush have abrasive particles 46 grit silicon carbidein the bristles.
The structure brush can be clamped in a lathe chuck with top jaws, which accommodate an inner diameter of 50 mm.
Data:
Overall diameter: 140.00 mm
Axle bore: 50.00 mm
Body diameter: 80.00 mm
Body width: 50.00 mm
Working width: approx. 36.00 mm
Fiber: K46 Ø1.60 corrugated
Maximum speed: 900 rpm
Tip for the start: The brush must first be "sharpened". That means 10 to 20 minutes of brushing on a test piece of wood. You will notice that the brush gets sharper and gives better results.
