Please select the desired size of the clamping nut to match the ring size!
Clamping nuts for different ring sizes for use with a clamping mandrel (not included in the scope of delivery and must be ordered separately) for clamping the finger ring kits.
Function:
- The mandrel is held in the lathe by means of a collet chuck or drill chuck.
- The ring blank with the glued-in inner ring is then placed on the clamping nut.
- The clamping nut with the ring blank and inner ring is pushed onto the mandrel.
- The clamping nut with the blank is clamped on the mandrel with the hexagon socket screw. Attention! Tighten only slightly to avoid damaging the ring kit.
Note: Initially, it may be difficult to attach the inner ring of the kit to the clamping nut. This is due to the slight burr on the slots in the clamping nut and it settles after a few times. The same applies to attaching the nut to the mandrel.
The outside diameter of the clamping nut is exactly the same as the outside diameter of the outer ring from the ring kit. This gives you an indication of how far the wood has to be turned.
