Test set with 12 different shades, 15ml each.
Hampshire Sheen Intrinsic dye stain is water-dilutable, non-flammable and has a longer shelf life in the container due to less evaporation than alcohol or spirit stains. The colours penetrate deeply into the sanded wood and have a sufficiently long open time for mixing by hand or for airbrush work. The natural appearance of the wood is preserved. The colours can be mixed in advance to other shades or colour gradients can be created directly on the work piece. With several applications or a dark to black primer, even more depth of colour and further colour effects can be achieved. This wood stain was developed by the British wood turner Martin Saban-Smith.
