These high-quality foot switches from the German manufacturer Bernstein AG have proven themselves for many years as an additional switching element on the VB36 head lathe. In addition to the practical benefit that both hands remain free when the machine is switched off and on, a foot switch makes a significant contribution to safety when using the lathe. The accident protection hood made of die-cast aluminium completely shields the pedal from above and from the sides and with its wide display, ensures high stability. Accidental activation by falling objects from above or unintentionally from the side is thus prevented. Due to its stability, the hood can withstand a drop weight of 20kg from a height of 1m.
Please choose between the two types:
Foot switch, button (Tast-Schalter):
- Type F1-U1Z UN
- With monostable switching function. When actuated, an impulse is given, which for example controls a contactor.
- Standard in VB36 from year of construction 2014
Foot switch, latching (Rast-Schalter):
- Type F1-U1Y UN
- With bi-stable switching function. After the first actuation, the contacts switch and remain switched after the pedal is released. The contacts are reset after pressing again.
- For retrofitting for VB36 built before 2014.
Both foot switches have an opener and a closer.
NOTE: Before purchasing, please contact the manufacturer of your machine to find out whether this foot switch fits the electrical configuration of the machine. We cannot provide any information as to whether the foot switch fits your machine. The installation must always be carried out by trained specialists in accordance with the applicable safety standards. We do not assume any liability for damage caused by incorrect installation!
