Axminster chucks feature heavily dimensioned flights in the worm plate and jaws. This results in a high degree of stability. The specified clamping travel is determined in such a way that when the chuck is opened wide, at least two flights of the worm disc still engage in all jaws. This ensures a high degree of safety.
