Collets Mandrel, adjustable

Clamping tool for machining pin kits.

The advantages of this pin mandrel design are that spacers are no longer required to compensate for the difference between the length of the pin blanks and the mandrel. This is useful to avoid vibrations that occur when turning blanks on a longer than required mandrel shaft. The length of the shaft is adjustable and can be shortened or lengthened by loosening the cap nut on the headstock side.

Without the mandrel shaft, the chuck also serves as a very compact and versatile collet chuck that is excellent for holding small components for turning.

Additional ER20 collets ranging in size from 2 to 13 mm are available.
