hapfo Balancer

Faceplate with adjustable balancing discs without thread. Threaded inserts from Oneway's Stronghold lathe chuck can be used. This thread insert is NOT included and must be ordered separately.

The hapfo-BALANCER is a faceplate with integrated, adjustable balancing discs, which enables significantly higher speeds, especially when processing unbalanced wet wood blanks or eccentrically clamped workpieces.

It is also suitable for smaller machines, which otherwise only allow minimal speeds without the BALANCER due to the low machine weight.

The application and setting is simple:

As usual, screw the hapfo-BALANCER onto the blank as a face plate, then mount it on the spindle and allow the blank with the heavier half to swing downwards (due to its own imbalance). Then loosen the two Allen screws of the balancing discs and swivel the weights upwards in opposite directions until the balance is almost achieved. Secure the balancing discs with the Allen screws and off you go.

The base body of the faceplate is made of high quality grey cast iron and thanks to its excellent sliding properties, enables the balancing discs to be turned easily on the faceplate. Furthermore, thanks to the grey cast iron body, the integrity of the spindle thread is guaranteed when it is screwed onto the spindle. This is a great advantage, especially with heavy blanks, compared to steel or aluminum discs, which often tend to seize on the spindle thread. The faceplate is made from one piece. This guarantees that it is free from imbalance.

The two balancing discs can be quickly and easily swivelled back into a neutral position by means of a detent on the face plate, which then permits the highest speeds as with a conventional face plate. There is an M10 thread in the centre of the base body into which a centre point or a screw thread insert (included in the scope of delivery) can be mounted.

• Face plate Ø 150mm made of grey cast iron with cone for ONEWAY-Stronghold thread insert (please order separately) and reverse turning safety groove
• Balancing weights mounted on the faceplate with locking screw and spring centring for "neutral" position
• Weight approx. 3.5 kg
• 2 bolt circles in the faceplate with 8 holes each, bolt circle diameter 98 and 130 mm
• total weight approx. 3.5 kg (incl. 2 balancing weights with a total of 1.2 kg)
