Type A Dovetail Jaws

Axminster Woodturning has reissued some of the most popular jaws in the smaller size for the 88mm Essential Chuck. Including these Type A Dovetail Attachments.

These Axminster SK88 Type A Dovetail Attachments are a versatile set of jaws. Ideal for turning bowls and plates, the internal dovetail also allows spindle work such as vases and goblets to be held securely. They offer three clamping options: two internal dovetails and one external dovetail.

These jaws are designed for the SK88 chuck and are simply screwed onto the base jaws. They are manufactured in Axminster, UK.

As the Essential SK88 chuck and jaws are made from EN1A steel and not stainless steel like our premium Clubman and Evolution chucks, we recommend spraying them lightly with a dry lubricant on a regular basis to prevent tarnishing. You should do this more often if you are working in a damp workshop or turning wet wood.
