TORMEK Leather Honing Disc LA-120, Profiled

For honing and polishing the inside of turning gouges, gouges and gait feet.

This newly developed honing disc has two interchangeable leather profiles so that you can easily replace a worn disc with a new one. Alternative leather profiles are available as accessories.

The two standard profiles have a radius of 3mm and a point with an angle of 60°. A set of narrower profiles with a 2mm radius and an angle of 45° is available as an accessory. These finer profiles are particularly suitable for honing small carving tools. The diameter of the larger disc has been increased from 100 to 120mm, which results in a higher pulling effect.

Compared to the previous LA-100, this new leather honing disc has a larger and deeper distance between the two profiles. This also allows tools with wider and deeper profiles to be extracted.

The new LA-120 disc can be mounted in front of the standard leather honing disc (LA-145 for SuperGrind1206 and LA-220 for SuperGrind2006) or additionally in front of the LA-100 disc located there (or the LA- 100 in front of the LA-120). Two LA-120s each with the standard LA-122 discs and the extra LA-124 discs can be mounted one behind the other. This gives you a wide range of honing options without changing the lens (standard leather honing disc + 4 profiled discs).

The new LA-120 disc replaces the previous LA-100.
