Product information "TORMEK Truing Tool"
Turning and dressing tool with feed screw, TT-50.
With this unique tool TORMEK TT-50, you can turn and dress the stone exactly circular and flat. It is mounted and fixed on the TORMEK universal support. The tool is guided through the universal support, which also guides the grinding devices. This ensures that the stone surface with the tools in the device is always parallel.
Advantages over our linking device ADV-50D and similar constructions:
Easy to guide across the stone.
You can comfortably guide the diamond blade over the stone without having to apply pressure with your thumbs. You can get an even feed by alternately turning the two knobs with both hands. The operation can be done in both directions.

Thanks to the controlled feeding, the stone surface is level and has no rough grooves. You do not need to level the stone afterwards with the stone grader SP-650. The slower the feed, the finer the stone surface will be. A feed speed of 90 seconds across the stone results in a fine surface with grooves that are barely visible to the eye.
Controlled cutting depth
The cutting depth is precisely set with the fine adjustment of the universal support. On newer universal supports, the fine adjustment nut is provided with a scale showing steps of 0.25mm each. You can also use your existing mother without a scale. The depth of cut 0.25 then corresponds to 1/6 of a turn.

Increased grinding ability
With a higher feed speed (approx. 30 seconds instead of 90 seconds) the stone has clear grooves, which result in faster grinding. This is a great advantage if you want to sharpen tools made of hard steel and with a large grinding surface, e.g. turning chisels and planing knives.
