Type D Dovetail Jaws

The SK88 dovetail jaws type D are suitable for small workpieces. The dovetail Ø 17.5 mm grips the base of small bowls, cups and egg cups.
Inside, the jaws clamp to almost 0 mm. This is useful for gripping thin cones, bobbin lace blanks and similar objects.
These jaws can grip a peg from 0 mm to 28 mm or expand in a recess from 16 mm to 42 mm.

As the Essential SK88 chuck and jaws are made from EN1A steel and not stainless steel like our premium Clubman and Evolution chucks, we recommend spraying it lightly with a dry lubricant on a regular basis to prevent tarnishing. You should do this more often if you are working in a damp workshop or turning wet wood.
