Stone Grinder for Coffee Beans

High-quality coffee grinder with stepless adjustment. Containing:  

• Pair of grinding stones
• Crank made of polished stainless steel with slide bearing
• Crank knob
• Adjusting screw beech / self-locking nut
• Millstone axis + socket
• Ball bearing
• 2 wood screws

The wooden body in the last three pictures is not included! This is only a sample of how the finished mill can look like. This sample is just ONE possibility of design. The shape and dimensions are not binding for the design. Only the dimensions of the grinding stone, bearing, sleeve etc. limit the freedom of design.

The millstone is made of Naxos basalt with a magnesite-salt bond. The materials used are harmless to health.
The grinding stone does not require any maintenance. It is self-sharpening and self-centring. The grinder works without residue and does not need to be cleaned. However, if the grinder is "clogged" with moist or oily grist, it is advisable to grind a tablespoon of raw rice. The brittle and dry rice cleans the grinder again.
Make sure that the grinder does not run "dry", i.e. without grist. If the stones grind each other directly without any grist, the stone will become dull.

Woods that contain tannic acid such as oak or robinia should not be used. This could lead to corrosion on metal parts of the grinder.
