Center point Pro Live Centre 21 mm - MK2

This Axminster 21mm Pro Live Centre 2MT is the ideal complement to the Vielzack 'Pro Drive' centre from Axminster. Just like the driver, this livecentre is made entirely of stainless steel and will not rust or corrode, even when used with green wood or in an unheated workshop. The centre has a spring-loaded centre point whose spring tension can be easily adjusted by turning a grub screw.

Pro Live Centres and drivers offer several advantages. They allow the workpiece to be easily clamped between the tips, even if it is to be positioned eccentrically to create off-centre shapes. Thanks to the spring-loaded tip, the workpiece can be centred easily. Unlike conventional tapered centres, Pro Live Centres support the workpiece over a larger area, avoiding splitting of the workpiece. Thanks to the exact match of the centring tips, you can easily turn your workpiece over and realign it perfectly. This is particularly useful when the grain of the wood dictates the cutting direction or when a specific design is to be achieved.

Due the large size of the bearings, this live centre is only available in MK2.
