Foot Lathe Kit

We offer the foot lathe kit as: (please select your preference)

The metal parts (screws, nails, crankshaft, tailstock quill etc.) are hand forged. The spindle is guided in white metal plain bearings. A counter-pressure bearing (back bearing) can be attached to the rear of the spindle. This enables stop work on the spindle without damaging the slide bearings. The flywheel is made of beech. Contrary to the historical model, the belt is a plastic-coated round belt.

• Centre height: 150mm (recommended for self-construction)
• Distance between centres: approx. 700mm (recommended for self-construction)
• Tool support: 155mm wide, tipped with sheet metal
• Spindle thread: M33 x 3.5
• Spindle bearings: white metal plain bearings and back bearings for hitting
• Height x width x depth: 1200 x 1500 x 680mm (recommended for self-construction)
• Comprehensive assembly instructions are supplied with the kit

Attention: The kit includes a pull rod, which is mounted on the back of the feet and gives the machine the necessary stability. At 1.56m, this bar is longer than allowed for a standard DHL package. If we are supposed to deliver the pull rod, we have to arrange for it to be transported by a freight forwarder, which is significantly more expensive. Alternatively, we can send without a the rod and the user can have the rod manufactured on site by a metal specialist. Dimension: 156 cm length; 14 mm diameter, one M14 thread each on the right and left over a length of 50 mm.
For delivery without a train ticket, we grant a discount of 30.00 EURO.
