Tool Rest lower part, cast iron, shank 30 mm

Bottom part tool rest made of cast iron, for woodturning machines with center height 180 mm to 220 mm. The lower part is suitable for all tool rests with shank diameter 30 mm. Please measure the distance between the cheeks on your lathe beforehand and select the appropriate variant.

The lower part is fully assembled and ready for use. You only have to attach the clamping plate to the lower part and adjust it to the cheek height of your lathe.

Cheek distance and height

The distance between the two cheeks of the machine bed is called the cheek distance. The lower part tool rest is guided and clamped between the cheeks by means of clamping plates. The height of these cheeks is called the cheek height and varies among different woodturning machine manufacturers. However, the clamping distance between the lower part and the clamping plate leaves enough room for adaptation to different bench beds and therefore allows optimal clamping characteristics.

If the distance between the cheeks of your lathe is not listed in our selection, we offer special production. For larger lathes with more center height we recommend our heavier cast iron lower parts.
