Neuhammer Parting Tool without Groove (Forged)

Compared to industrially manufactured mass products, it should be noted that dimensions and shape show slight fluctuations, which are due to the manufacturing technology of the artisanal forging. In addition, the shape and sharpness of the cutting edge are not yet ready for use with new tools. All tools must first be sharpened, this enables the shape of the cutting edge to be corrected according to individual requirements (influencing factors such as type of wood, workpiece shape and the like).

Application: This tool works like a very thin plate steel. It has the shape of a steel plate, but the proportions of height to width are different. This simple parting tool has a thickness of approx. 3mm and a height of approx. 15mm. It cuts a little more aggressively than a diamond-shaped parting tool and is suitable for smaller dimensions.

Bevel: The bevel is slightly angled on the long bevel as with the diamond-shaped parting tool.

How it works: This parting tool is placed just a little above the center of the rotary axis and guided to the centre.
