Features of this chuck

Versatility:

Compared to all other clamping systems, the DUPLEX chuck  is the chuck with the largest clamping range for workpieces. It holds the smallest workpieces such as clappers to deep vases and bowls well over 600 mm in diameter.

Precision and durability

Because it is a true collet chuck, manufacturing precision is the major advantage that ensures the chuck will perform flawlessly year after year without sacrificing accuracy or holding power.

Accessibility and safety

The size of the duplex chuck with a diameter of 75 mm and the smooth surface without protrusions ensure good accessibility to the workpiece. Safety in handling is particularly noteworthy here.

Power and performance

The unique and robust design of the Duplex chuck, combined with its manufacture from high quality British tool steel, ensures exceptional and precise holding power. Output weights of well over 20 kg and diameters of 600 mm x 150 mm are within the capabilities of this chuck.

Drilled index holes

The 24-position index plate drilled into each DUPLEX chuck and the additional index part pin allow you to accurately set points at 15° intervals. This useful feature will assist you in almost all areas of woodturning, whether for fixing the chuck while drilling or for decorative techniques.

Handling speed

The collet change takes less than a minute. No screws or tools are needed. The extensive accessories are usually integrated directly into the collets. Clamping wrenches are part of the basic equipment!

Choice of collets

The selection of six collets offers a wide range of applications with a stroke of approx. 6.5 mm in the clamping and gripping range. This applies to all pliers. The pliers can be replaced in less than 60 seconds without screws or tools. Shown here with the DJ90 pliers.

Choose the variant with the required base body based on the thread of your spindle!

Most woodturning machines today are equipped with a spindle thread M33 x 3.5. This collet system allows mounting on a variety of other machine types. Check the spindle thread and then select the correct option:

All components of the duplex clamping system are supplied in individual parts. Assembly instructions are included in the delivery. Each of the individual parts listed can also be ordered separately from us.

The individual collets must be ordered separately. The collet chuck DJ90 shown on the product photo is not included in the scope of delivery!
