For drilling long holes in long woodwork. (e.g. lamp stand). There must be a hollow tailstock quill. The center of the workpiece is marked on the front sides. Then the workpiece is clamped between a face driver and the drilled, revolving center point. The removable center punch is placed on the marking and the centering ring is pressed into the workpiece. Now loosen the quill, remove the point and clamp the workpiece with the centering ring in the indented notch. You can now drill through the tailstock from behind.
The center punch can of course also be used as a normal revolving center punch with a centering ring. The scope of delivery includes 2 interchangeable tips, a shorter and a longer one. The longer tip is particularly suitable for very small workpieces.
