steinert® Turner Oil 0.25L

Every wood turner strives to bring out the beauty of wood with well-designed shapes. Surface materials are required to ensure that this natural beauty is preserved for as long as possible and that the turned object is also protected during use. Vegetable oils and waxes are particularly suitable for this. However, since the materials that have been on the market so far often still have defects, we have thought about creating an aesthetically pleasing, mechanically resistant natural product that is manufactured in Germany and meets all ecological and physiological criteria. With the support of LIVOS Research and Development GmbH & Co. KG now has a product available that meets these high criteria and thus surpasses all previous products of this type.

"steinert® wood turner oil" is a product based on vegetable oil. Since it is made up with resins and other natural additives, the application of this oil achieves a good penetration depth in the wood, high mechanical resistance and moisture resistance.

Due to the extremely low proportion of solvents (isoaliphatic), "steinert® wood turner oil" is very economical. For the first application, 1.0 litre is sufficient for approx. 20 square meters. The consumption is understandably heavily dependent on the substrate, the absorbency and surface properties of the wood.

"steinert® Drechsleröl" is saliva and sweat-proof according to DIN 53160 (colloquially "food safe") and it is suitable for children's toys according to DIN EN 71, part 3. Due to its high mechanical resistance, it can also be used for floors, window sills and the like. The treated surface is transparent, silk-gloss, water-resistant according to DIN 68861 Part 1, open-pored, a surface film forms after 2-3 applications.
